The first few weeks are most challenging with the language barrier, adjusting to a hotter climate and generally just a different way of living. However, after a couple weeks of Indonesian language classes, networking, meeting friends, settling in, understanding the way things work and getting to know your neighbourhood, the challenges subside and you really get to appreciate this exchange experience even more as it really is an opportunity to live and study in a fantastic environment.

Q: What do you like to do in your spare time in Yogyakarta?
