Access government funding to get you on your way

Thanks to the New Colombo Plan (NCP) Mobility Program run by the Australian Government, there are grants available ranging between $3,000 – $10,000 for eligible students to undertake an Acicis experience.

Acicis programs.

Semester

Flexible Language Immersion Program (FLIP)

Study and immerse yourself in day-to-day life in Indonesia with Acicis’ Flexible Language Immersion Program (FLIP).

Make up your own flexible timetable by taking units in Indonesian language and culture as well as units in the Faculty of Political and Cultural Sciences to develop your language skills and knowledge of Indonesian society. Six levels of Indonesian language classes are available (from beginners to advanced) and there are various opportunities to join extra-curricular activities throughout the program. Alongside your coursework, you can undertake a professional placement to complement your learning. This extended program not only offers an exceptional study experience, but allows you to properly settle into Indonesian student life, experience the local culture, and create lifelong friendships.

Short Term

Indonesian Language Short Course (ILSC)

Transform your Indonesian language abilities and learn from native Indonesian speakers with Acicis’ Indonesian Language Short Course (ILSC).

This short term program offers intensive Indonesian language training (from beginners to advanced), incorporating cultural classes and field trips. The ILSC provides an invaluable opportunity to immerse yourself in day-to-day life, collaborate with local peers and gain language skills in an intensive way. The program is a ‘taster’ of life in the archipelago.

Develop reading skills in Bahasa Indonesia through reading and translating texts on a range of topics, including newspaper articles, folk tales, and more!

Build vocabulary knowledge through translating and interpreting activities in class with native Indonesian speakers and peers.

If you’re looking for a way to fund your study abroad, there are a range of funding options available to students.

One of these initiatives is the New Colombo Plan (NCP) Mobility Program which is funded by the Australian Government. This initiative aims to increase knowledge of the Indo-Pacific in Australia by empowering undergraduate students like yourself to study, learn, and complete placements in stunning places like Indonesia. There are grants available ranging from $3,000 to $10,000.

If you are eligible for the New Colombo Plan funding, you can use it for our science and agriculture programs. Depending on your state and university, you may be eligible for other types of funding that can also be used when you study abroad with us.
