With a team of 15 lawyers, H3I’s legal department not only navigates the company safely through all regulatory requirements, negotiates agreements in the best of H3I’ interest and solves disputes in a business savvy manner, but also helps H3I to explore new business opportunities in the digital lifestyle sector. The legal team takes pride in handling complex high value transactions successfully without the involvement of outside counsel. The work environment in the Jakarta headquarter offers hands-on experience in a diverse team with flat hierarchies which is both highly integrated in the operations of the Technical, Finance and Marketing departments and collaborates with other H3I’s regional offices in Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Bali, Lombok and Batam.
The program participant should be curious and ready to explore new legal areas, embrace a strong learning culture, think in a commercial manner and needs to be open for a pan-Indonesian office food experience. The office language is English, but 99% of the team will be happy to give the participant a chance to hone his/her Bahasa Indonesia skills.
Any ongoing projects will offer ample opportunities for involvement, such as contract drafting, research on government regulations or participation in negotiations. Preferences of individual participants regarding a specific area or kind of work will be accommodated as much as possible.
Researching and familiarising with limited liability company law;
Researching into a performance bond and its relevance in a commercial context;
Researching into licenses. These licences must be obtained when undertaking business in the telecommunications sector;
Researching into the differences between corruption policies in Indonesia and Australia;
Reviewing organisation’s documents:
