New Colombo forges fascination for Indonesia

With a passion for mi goreng and zero Indonesian language skills I travelled alone to Jakarta to complete a Journalism Professional Practicum, with the support of a New Colombo Plan scholarship.

20th Anniversary in Yogyakarta

ACICIS held a 20th anniversary celebration and reunion weekend in Yogyakarta from the 28 to 30 August, 2015. It was a brilliant weekend, giving us all a time to reminisce, and realize the significance of ACICIS’ contribution to the Australia- Indonesia relationship over the previous two decades.

2016 NCP Funding Announcement

The Australian Government’s New Colombo Plan will again support a significant scaling-up of study abroad to Indonesia through the Australian Consortium for ‘In-Country’ Indonesian Studies (ACICIS), with the announcement of over $2.1 million awarded to the consortium in the latest funding round.
