About ASB Indonesia and the Phillipines

Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB), or the Worker’s Samaritan Federation, is a German relief and social welfare organization engaged in many social service provisions, including civil protection, rescue service, and social welfare service. ASB works through more than 200 branch offices in Germany and services in more than 20 countries abroad. ASB works closely with government, international, national, and local non-government organizations (NGOs), academia and Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs).

They are actively involved in regional and international policy forums.ASB have developed a strong reputation for delivering practical, inclusive disaster risk reduction (DRR) solutions, such as the Disability-inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction Network (DiDRRN). Their missions are Improving meaningful access and participation for all, Strengthening individuals, communities & decision makers capacities to create positive change, and Enhancing societies’ ability to manage risk.

Requirements

-Has an interest about humanitarian, socio-economic development, climate change, and disaster risk reduction issues

-Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to handle changing project requirements and priorities

-Teamwork: Collaboration and teamwork skills to work effectively with project teams and stakeholders

-Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify issues or challenges and propose solutions or escalate them to the appropriate parties

Intern Duties

  • Assisting in the design and editing of web material and other reporting obligations
  • Editing and management of visual archives
  • Placement on teams for project design and/or project monitoring excercises
  • Media and communication strategy assistance

Work Hours

Monday to Friday, 09.00 – 16.00.
