About NTFP-EP Indonesia

The Non-Timber Forest Products Exchange Programme (NTFP-EP) Indonesia is a collaborative network of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and community-based organisations in Indonesia that have strong networks in South and Southeast Asia. We are working with forest-dependent communities to strengthen their capacity in sustainable management of these natural resources. NTFP-EP Indonesia was organised as a network to promote the use of non-timber forest products, with the fundamental purpose of protecting the forests; and the forest is not just the trees but a conglomeration of many inter-dependent species of plants and animals, many of them huge and others microscopic, which occupy an area together. The forest is more than the sum of its parts.
