About NTFP-EP Indonesia

The Non-Timber Forest Products Exchange Programme (NTFP-EP) Indonesia is a collaborative network of non-governmental organisations (NGOs), indigenous people, and local community (IPLC) organizations. We focus on strengthening the community’s capacity based on the non-timber forests product. Our vision is IPLCs to govern and responsibly manage their forest areas, sustain local livelihoods, and be resilient to climate change impacts.

Requirements

Intern Duties (Example)

  • Documentation/Videography/Photography of cultural stories
  • Development of traditional community products based on non-timber forest products (e.g. rattan, natural fibre, etc).

Work Hours

9am – 5pm, but flexible

Bridget Smits was a participant on the 2021 Virtual Agriculture Professional Practicum.

Bridget is a Bachelor of Biotechnology, Bachelor of Environment and Sustainability student from The Australian National University. She received a $3,000 New Colombo Plan Mobility Grant to support her participation in this program.
