About Rifka Annisa

Established in 1993, Rifka Annisa Women’s Crisis Centre aspires to achieve a gender-equitable society that does not tolerate violence against women through principles of social justice, consciousness and awareness, independence, sound integrity, and the maintenance of local knowledge. Rifka Annisa offers services for women and children who are the victims of gender-based violence through their psychological and/or legal assistance, which include counselling, legal consultation, support groups, and a safe house.

Requirements

  • Interns who are self-driven and show initiative;
  • Reasonable knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia and a willingness to develop this further throughout your program;
  • A willingness to learn new skills and adapt quickly to new environments;
  • Sound interpersonal and cross-cultural skills to work with other staff and an  interest in the organisation’s goals.

Intern Duties

Designated tasks are generally tailored to individual student’s interests and experience. However, students are generally asked to translate documents from English to Bahasa Indonesia and vice versa, design campaign tools such as posters and brochures, promote the organisation’s events, and complete written tasks such as reports and website content.

Work Hours

Monday to Friday, 08.30 – 16.30.
