Q: Why did you decide to undertake the ACICIS program?
After spending a semester studying in ACICIS’ English language International Relations Program at Parahyangan Catholic University in Bandung I wanted to place a stronger focus on learning Bahasa Indonesia. The Flexible language Immersion Program offered by ACICIS at Universitas Gadjah Mada was the obvious choice. It allowed me to strike an academic balance between specific areas of my Bahasa which needed improvement, and challenging immersion classes with domestic students.

Q: Are you involved in any clubs/societies at the university?
I’m a part of the FISIPOL International Students’ Society and have my heart set on joining the Nature Lover’s Society. I am also involved in the Australia-Indonesia Youth Association (Yogyakarta Chapter) and recently participated in CAUSINDY.
Q: What do you like to do in your spare time in Yogyakarta?
Travelling! Exploring! Eating! Ngobrol-ing! Contribute to the Australia-Indonesia bilateral relationship-ing!
Q: What is your favourite Indonesian food?
Tempe Goreng from the warung under my kosan! It is without a doubt the best I’ve ever tasted!

Loving Hut for the range of vegetarian food, the warung under my kosan for the tempe & company!
