Indonesian Business, Law and Society Program

Angela Godewatte is 2016 New Colombo Plan Mobility Grant recipient and is studying a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne.

This is Angela’s first semester with ACICIS and she is undertaking the Indonesian Business, Law and Society Program at Indonesian Islamic University, Yogyakarta.

Q: Why did you decide to undertake the ACICIS program?

It was an excellent opportunity to fine tune my Bahasa skills and to get some real life experience with immersion and the internship opportunities were extremely attractive. It was an opportunity to also get experience in my field that I couldn’t get in Melbourne.

Q: Are you involved in any clubs/societies at the university?

I am involved in the Australia-Indonesia Youth Association Yogyakarta Chapter and help to improve friendships between Australians and Indonesian students.

Q: What do you like to do in your spare time in Yogyakarta?

Taking photos and videos, eating at different cafes and restaurants with my friends and running errands for AIYA.

Kwetiau/Gado-gado!
